The Daily News-Monday, October 20, 1986 Longview, Wash. Bertha Shuster Bertha D. Ann Shuster of Cathlamet, Wash., died October 18, 1986, in Longview at the age of 94. She was born Dec. 23, 1891, at St. Louis, Mo., and had lived in the local area for the past 68 years. Mrs. Shuster founded the hot lunch program in Cathlamet and was a cook for the Cathlamet School District. Her memberships included the Cathlamet Congregational Church and the Pocanhontas Lodge, Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary, all in Cathlamet. Surviving her are two daughters, Frances Shannon of Longview and Betty Steiner of Olympia; seven grandchildren and five great-great- grandchildren. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathlamet Congregational Church with the Rev. Ruth Mathis officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Emergency Support Shelter. Dowling Funeral Home, Cathlamet, is in charge of arrangements. Bertha D.
