Wahkiakum Eagle-October 1982 SHOLD, Andrew Age 88, former Puget Island and Cathlamet school teacher, died in Seattle. He was born in Poulsbo and served in the Army during WWI. He attended Bellingham Normal School and Washington State College in Pullman, beginning teaching at Monitor. Most of his career was spent in Puget Island and Cathlamet elementary schools. He served a term as Wahkiakum County Commissioner. He moved to a Seattle retirement home in 1979. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Arnolda Vog, and his second wife, Jakobina Vik. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, several in-laws and many friends. Memorial services were Thursday at Greenlake Funeral Home in Seattle. Burial place unknown 23 Jun 1894-10 Oct 1982 (As transcribed by the Wahkiakum County Historical Society in 2007 from original newspaper collection.)
