Settle, Roy L.
Roy L. Settle, 62, of Longview died Nov. 5, 2006.

He was born Feb. 7, 1944, in Shreveport, La., to Jeff Thomas and Lillian Violet 
(McBride) Settle and moved to Cathlamet as a child. He graduated from Wahkiakum 
High School in 1962.

Mr. Settle served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Stowe-
Woodward Co. in 2004 after 17 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene (Firkus) Settle; two daughters, Shanna Settle and 
Connie Guthrie; two brothers, Earl Settle and Phillip Settle; two sisters, Juanita Rodahl 
and Ida Mae King; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Steele Chapel at Longview 
Memorial Park & Crematory.
