Published in The Daily News on 2/4/2005. David Carl Seaberg 1947 – 2005 David Carl Seaberg, 57, of Cathlamet, passed away on February 1, 2005. He was born on October 1, 1947 in Longview to Carl and Beverly (Jacobson) Seaberg. David was a lifelong resident of Cathlamet-Puget Island. A 1965 graduate of Wahkiakum High School in Cathlamet. David entered the U.S. Coast Guard in 1965 and served for 4 years. He started working at Brusco Tug & Barge on a part-time basis in '65, becoming full-time in '69. He was employed there until his death. He was a member of Duck's Unlimited. David enjoyed hunting of all kinds and fishing. He loved his work, was a loyal person, and will be missed by his many co-workers, friends, family & hunting buddies. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Seaberg in 1949.David leaves behind his wife, Janelle Bond of Cathlamet; daughter and son-in-law, Wendy & LaMar Blix of Puget Island; brother and sister-in-law, Paul & Alice Seaberg of Longview; parents, Carl & Beverly Seaberg of Puget Island; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Todd & Kathy Peterson of Sacrament, California and Blair & Tammy Peterson of Cathlamet; two grandsons, Lars & Gunnar Blix of Puget Island; nieces and nephews, Darcy Daniels, Jamie Kunka, Kevin Hampton, Shannon Fridley, Kirsten Seaberg & Taryn Peterson; his first wife & mother of daughter Wendy, Janell Seaberg of Cathlamet; and two step-nieces.A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at J. A. Wendt Elementary in Cathlamet with Reverend Brad Herring officiating. Private entombment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet.
