The Wahkiakum Eagle-July 1, 1948 ROBINSON, Fannie Funeral services for Fannie Meserve Robinson, 75, Ocean Park, Wash., were held from the Memorial chapel of the Hughes-Ransom mortuary Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Harold Dixon, pastor of the Ocean Park Methodist church, officiated and burial was in the Hudson cemetery near Rainier, Oregon. Graveside services were conducted by the Rainier Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Robinson was born in Cortland, Neb., May 15, 1878, and was the youngest daughter of Dr. J. W. and Sarah Meserve, who settled in Rainier in 1884. Her early childhood was spent in Rainier. She played the cornet in the Meserve family band of 12 members. She attended Oregon State College and Monmouth College and taught school until her marriage to Clarence Laughlin at Yamhill, Oregon, where she lived for many years. Mrs. Robinson was also a registered nurse and the last 25 years of her life was devoted to nursing. A number of years ago she married to George Robinson and lived at Ocean Park, Washington, the last 15 years. Survivors include, her husband, George Robinson, Ocean Park; two sons, Robert R. Laughlin, Battle Ground, Wash., and Joy J. Laughlin of Walla Walla, Wash.; three daughters, Esther Elliott, La Grande, Ore., Mrs. Loma Thomas, Madras, Ore., and Mrs. Sara Katherine Straub, Fairbanks, Alaska; three brothers, Lincoln Meserve, Cathlamet, Wash, William N. Meserve, Grays River, Wash., and Harry E. Meserve of Portland; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
