Wahkiakum County Eagle-August 1996 William Andrew Roberson Age 96, of Naselle, died in Long Beach. He was born in Pike County, Ind., to Stephen and Nancy (York) Roberson. When he was 7 years old, his father died. He went to work on the family farm and received his education in Indiana. In his working years, he was employed in the oil fields and as a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners. He had lived in 42 states, but settled 25 years ago in Naselle to be near family. On August 11, 1985, he and Evelyn Malone were married at the Assembly of God Church in Naselle; she survives him at home. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and traveling. He also enjoyed being with his family and friends. Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters, Vivian Arnot of Stewart, Fla., and Elizabeth Carlton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held Tuesday at Assembly of God Church in Naselle. Burial place unknown 22 Oct 1899-30 Jul 1996 (As transcribed by the Wahkiakum County Historical Society Museum)
