Wahkiakum County Eagle-December 1996 Mary K. Robbins Age 95, a resident of Cathlamet since 1943, died at a local nursing home. She was born at Roswell, N. M., the daughter of Robert and Lily (James) Kellahin. She attended Normal school and University of Missouri in the early 1920's. At one time, she worked at the Bank of America in California, and also taught 4th grade briefly. She moved to the Cathlamet area in 1943, and worked first at Seafirst Bank and later at Soil Conservation District as a secretary, until she retired. She was a member of Wahkiakum Historical Society, American Legion Auxiliary, Cathlamet Woman's Club, Order of the Eastern Star, PTA and Girl Scouts Council. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and liked doing any handwork. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Dick Parker of Montesano; a brother, Jason Kellahin of Santa Fe, N. M.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin in 1967 and a son, "Skip" Robbins in 1988. Celebration of life was at Dowling Chapel, Saturday. Arrangements were by Dowling Funeral Home. Mary K.
