Probably Skamokawa Eagle-February 1914 Oscar Mullin arrived from Pleasanton, California, Thuesday with the remains of his mother Mrs. Emeline Porchet, who died at that point February 7th 1914, aged 73 years 9 months and 28 days. The funeral took place Tuesday morning from the Island church, Rev. Wm Vimont presiding both at the church and the grave. Mrs. Porchet wished to be buried by her husband, the late Daniel Porchet, and her son Oscar went to California for her remains. Mrs. Porchet had many friends among the older residents of Skamokawa. She was a kind mother, a good neighbor and a devout Christian woman.
