Wahkiakum County Eagle- Oct 1996 Judith A. Pickering Age 55, died at her home on Puget Island. She was born in Cutler, Ind., to Robert and Edith (Bronson) White, and had lived in the Puget Island-Cathlamet area for 19 years. She worked at several jobs in the Astoria area while living in Knappa, Ore., until she moved to Puget Island in 1977. In 1978, she went to work at the Wauna mill, where she worked until 1990. She and her husband, Wilmer "Pic" Pickering, were members of the Good Sam RV Club. They enjoyed motercycle riding, auctioning and going to garage sales. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended the First Free Church on Puget Island. Survivors include her husband, "Pic", at home; two sons, Olaf Thomason, Jr. of Cathlamet and Todd Thomason of Knappa; four stepchildren; a sister, Bobbi Jean Conners of Lafayette, Ind.; a brother, Michael Ro White of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and friends. Celebration of life service was Monday at the Puget Island Grange. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge. Judith A.
