Unk. Publication-March 1964 Sigrid Sofia Penttila Funeral services for Mrs. Sigrid Sofia Penttila, age 74, were held Wednesday in the Naselle Lutheran church. She died March 16, in Ilwaco. The Rev. Martti Wilman officiated. Pall bearers were her three sons, Eldred, Eldon, Kenneth Penttila; two sons-in-law, Jack See and Charles Holm, and a cousin, Waldo Carlson. Penttila's Chapel by the Sea of Long Beach was in charge of arrangements. She was born Nov. 26, 1889 in Ylanen Turko, Finland. She came to the United States in 1907, to Riverside, Wash., where her parents had a ranch. She was married to Waino Penttila October 31, 1921, and they established their home in Naselle, where they had resided since. She was a member of the Naselle Lutheran church, the Ladies'Aid of that church, and of the American Legion auxiliary of Deep River. Besides her husband at home, she is survived by sons, Eldred, Long Beach; Eldon, Eugene, and Kenneth, of Petersburg, Alaska; Albert East, Naselle; a sister, Mrs. Alma Richards, Long Beach, Calif., and 12 grandchildren.
