Thursday, May 17, 1945 No. 6 HANS OLAUS OLSON PASSES AFER LONG ILLNESS Hans Olaus Olson, 71, a fisherman of Puget Island for the past 32 years, died in a Longview hospital Saturday, May 12, after a long illness. He was born in Norway on April 11, 1874. Surviving are the widow on Puget Island, three daughters, Mrs. Sig Vog and Mrs. Oliver Bacon of Puget Island, and Mrs. Vik Petersen of Portland, Oregon, and two sons Kenneth D. Olsen of Puget Island and Mervyn A. Olson in the army in Germany. There are also five grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at our Savior's Church, Puget Island, Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock. Rev. R. H. Sawyer officiated. Paul bearers were John Ronnig, Elmer Danielsn, Water Giselberg, Paul Gisselberg, Martin Olsen, and Nels Rodal.
