The Eagle-April 27, 1939-Page 1 PIONEER OF SKAMOKAWA PASSES ON. Monday night, April 24, at the Chas. Lund home in Skamokawa, Haakan Olsen, who came to Wahkiakum county 44 years ago, passed away. Mr. Olsen was born in Hars Stad*, Norway, October 10, 1866. He came to this county in 1894. Funeral services were held from the Congregational church Thursday afternoon, April 27 with pastor, W. W. Head, officiating. Interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery, where the committal service of the Improved Order of Red Men will be used. General funeral arrangements are in charge of Hatton’s Funeral Parlor. Surviving relatives are Gabriel C. Johnson, Mrs. Henrikka Johnson and Henry E. Johnson.
