Wahkiakum Eagle-December 1999 OHRBERG, Carl Fredric Age 73, died at Cathlamet. He was born in Riverside, Calif., the son of George and Esther Ohrberg. He was a resident of Puget Island since 1932. He graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1945. He married Helen Haugen December 26, 1948. He served in the Army in Hawaii during WWII. Death was caused by Luekemia. He was an active supporter of Wahkiakum sports and enjoyed fishing. He went to work for Crown Zellerbach in 1948 and retired as construction supervisor in 1982. Survivors include his wife at home; four daughters, Janet E. Meade of San Antonio, Tex., Charyl M. Butenko of Bellevue, Cinnon J. Tarabochia of Skamokawa and Jackie L. Lea of Cathlamet; two brothers, George of Louisiana and Robert of Puget Island; one sister, Inez Danielsen of Cathlamet; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life was held Saturday at the cemetery. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
