From: Greg & Kari Kandoll Date: 09/01/05 01:20:49 To: Kelly Blizzard Subject: Nostvik, Julia Beck Obit Wahkiakum Eagle November 11, 1949 ISLAND RESIDENT DIES RECENTLY Mrs. Julia Nostvik, a resident of Puget Island for 38 years, passed away in a Longview hospital on Tuesday, November 1. She was born in Norway on Nov. 20, 1879 and came to this country in 1911. Survivors are her husband, Olaf Nostvik; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Graham, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Lillie Furmanek, Detroit, Michigan; two step-daughters, Mrs. Astrid Johnsen, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Annie Ronning, Puget Island. Services were held at Our Savior's Luthern church with Rev. Clifford Larsen of Longview officiating. Pallbearers were Toralf Flato, John Berg, John Vog, Chris Jacobsen, Ed Ness and Peder S. Pedersen. Music was by Miss Jessie Lynne Sawyer, a solo by Mrs. Oscar Sjogren and a trio number by Mrs. C. Jacobsen, Mrs. A. Wegdahl and Mrs. S.
