Wahkiakum County Eagle-November 1996 Rose Marie Neely Age 75, died of cancer at the Hospice Care Center in Longview. She was born in Astoria, to Victor and Ida (Swanson) Larson, and spent most of her young life in Grays River, moving to Skamokawa in 1948. She and Joe Neely were married in 1944, and dairy farmed in Skamokawa for many years before retiring in 1980. They moved to Cathlamet in 1991. She enjoyed golfing, yard work, spending time with her family, and woodworking. She was a member of Skyline Ladies Golf club and the Skamokawa GT Club. Her husband, Joe, died in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Ross. Survivors include two daughters, Alice Seaberg of Longview and Vicki Bergseng of Puget Island; a son, Alan Neely of Longview; four brothers, Bob Larson of Grays River, Rudolph "Duffy" Larson of Rosburg, Harry Larson of Vancouver and John Larson of Oceanside, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends at Skyline Golf.
