The Wahkiakum County Eagle-December 3, 2009 Margaret R. Moss Longtime Wahkiakum County resident Margaret Roberta Moss, 73, passed away November 28, 2009 at her home. She was born March 17, 1936 in Rosburg to Harold and Aune (Wirkkala) Magnuson. She attended school in Rosburg and Naselle. On November 19, 1954 she married Eddie Moss in Skamokawa; he survives her at home in Longview where they had resided since 1985. They had just celebrated 55 years of marriage. She was a board member at the Senior Center and president of the Women’s Eagles Auxiliary. Margaret worked as a nurse’s aid at Columbia View Care Center. She worked as a waitress for many years at the Duck Inn, Marie’s Restaurant, Grays River Inn and most recently worked in laundry at the Aladdin Motel in Kelso. She enjoyed oil painting, knitting, her family and her quilting group at Calvary Community Church. In addition to her husband Eddie, she is survived by her daughter, Linda Wright of Longview; a brother, Glen Magnuson of Bend, Ore.; sister, Marlene Peterson of Cashmere; her grandchildren Rebecka Vonda of Portland and Travis Gibson of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Douglas Moss, daughter Leora Booth and sister Delores Smith. A funeral was held December 1 at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park with interment at Fernhill Cemetery in Skamokawa. Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park is in charge of arrangements.
