Wahkiakum County Eagle-January 1996 John Lewis "Jack" Moonen Age 70, Skamokawa resident, died at a Cathlamet nursing home. He was born in Oneida, NY, to John and Sadie Moonen. He was married to Beverly Parker Mar. 16, 1957. He attended Wahkiakum High School and served two years in the Air Force. He worked at Campbell's store in Skamokawa for two years. He also owned a service station in Cathlamet for several years. In 1964 he went to work for Crown Zellerbach and retired from logging in 1986. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Survivors include his wife, at home; a daughter, Debbie Twiet of Yakima; a son, Stewart of Cathlamet; a sister, Audrey Anderson of Skamokawa; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Saturday at Dowling Chapel with the Rev. Joan Ham officiating. Cremation has taken place. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
