Unknown Publication-March 1962 MONROE-Mrs. Mary, 83, of Skamokawa, died March 4 at Cathlamet. Born May 24, 1878, in Goldhill, Nev., Mrs. Monroe had lived in Skamokawa for the past 78 years. She was a member of the Skamokawa Methodist Church, Skamokawa Pocahontas Lodge, the Ladies Aid of the church and a life member of Skamokawa Grange. Survivors include a son, Claude of Seattle; two brothers, John Neville of Seattle, and Nick Neville of Winlock; and three sisters, Mrs. Katie Lund of Cathlamet, Mrs. R. F. Krueger of Winlock, and Mrs. William Peterson of Skamokawa. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Skamokawa Methodist Church with the Rev. John Freeman officiating. Burial will be at the Fern Hill Cemetery at Skamokawa. Penttila’s Chapel by the Sea at Long Beach, is in charge.
