Wahkiakum County Eagle-December 6, 1973-Page 6 ADELAIDE MONROE Mrs. Adelaide Monroe, 83, Cathlamet, died November 29 in Cathlamet nursing home. Born March 23, 1890 in Kalama, she had been a resident of this area for the last 57 years and was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic church, the Elochoman Grange and the Pocahontas lodge. Survivors include two sons, Harold of Vancouver and Arthur of Cathlamet; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Lewis of Tidewater, Ore., and Sister Grace, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis in Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Rosary was recited Friday in Dowling Funeral Chapel and requiem mass was said Saturday in St. Catherine’s Church with Rev. Patrick Mulligan officiating. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery with Dowling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Adelaide M.
