The Daily News-March 1975 Clarence H. Martin Age 85, of Skamokawa, died in a Cathlamet nursing home. He was born in East Valley, Skamokawa, where he lived most of his life. He worked as a farmer, was a school bus driver, employed by the Wahkiakum County road Dept. for the past 25 years, and was a past member of the Skamokawa Grange. Survivors include one son, David, of Astoria, Ore.; three daughters, Gladys Martin of Tacoma, Evelyn Semmel of Renton and Patricia Calvin of Fall City; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were Tuesday at the Dowling Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Everett Groves officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
