The Wahkiakum County Eagle-October 23, 2008 Edward T. Lazor Cathlamet resident, Edward T. Lazor, 61, passed away October 17 in Cathlamet. He was born on December 5, 1946 in Seattle to Edward and Ramona (MacKay) Lazor. As Ed grew up, he lived in many places in the States, in Italy and Japan, as his father was in the Navy. He went to high school in Japan and college in Texas. He lived in Corvallis , Ore. 1988 – 2002, Cathlamet 2002 - 2004 and Central Point , Ore. 2005 – 2008. In September 2008, he returned to Cathlamet, where his wife grew up, to fish and walk the beaches and valleys in his final days. He served in the Army, built vineyards in the Salinas Valley, Calif. in the late 1970s; worked at Orkin Pest Control, ’79-’80, owned a business in pest control in Oregon for more than 15 years, and was employed at Charter Communication in Central Point, Ore., as Market/Sales branch and Regional Manager in southern Oregon. He married Pamela Below of February 15, 1981 in Cathlamet at the bride’s parent’s home. He enjoyed writing, art, fishing, reading, researching, church and music. He was an inspiration to his sales team, coworkers and church friends. He is survived by wife, Pamela Lazor; sons, Ed and Matt Lazor; step-son, Jeff Hood; step-daughter, Jenny King; sister, Kathy Lazor; mother and step-father, Ramona and Seva Acoutin; sister-in-law, Toni Below; two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Lazor. A service will be held at Dowling Funeral Home in Cathlamet on Tuesday, October 28 at 2 p.m. Interment & committal at Greenwood Cemetery.
