Wahkiakum Eagle-June 1973 LAWRENCE, Karl Oscar Age 86, of Cathlamet, died in a Vancouver hospital. He was born in Portland. He was a Grays River resident until he moved to Skamokawa in 1933. He was an employee of the State of Washington Division of Forestry for many years, a member of the Grays River Methodist church, a World War I veteran and a charter member of the American Legion post of Deep River. Surviving are the widow, Louise, at home; one son, Raymond, of Pendleton, Ore.; one daughter, Jacqueline Emery, of Skamokawa; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The Rev. Chester Shulda officiated at the service held Saturday. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
