The Wahkiakum County Eagle-November 7, 2007 Berneice I. Larson Berneice Irene Larson of Rosburg died October 27 in Cathlamet. She was 85. She was born December 12, 1922 in Deep River to August and Reeta (Loukkanens) Larson. She attended school in Deep River and graduated from Naselle High School in 1939 and later attended Behnke Walker Business College in Portland. She married Sidney Larson on May 17, 1942. They returned to Rosburg after his service in the U.S. Navy in WWII to raise their four children. He died in 2002. She was a member of the Naselle Assembly of God Church and a Rosburg Hall worker. She is survived by sons Neal (Jan) Larson of Mossyrock and Jim (Julie) Larson of Rosburg; daughters Jeannine (Harvey) Johnson of Naselle and Jill (Neil) Bush of Elma; 11 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by brothers Roy and Alvin Larson and sisters Jennie Wirkkala, Hilda Lassela, and Ellen Olsen. A celebration of life will be held November 3 at 11 a.m. at the Naselle Assembly of God church with a reception to follow. A graveside service for family will be held at Peaceful Hill cemetery in Naselle.
