Wahkiakum County Eagle-July 1996 Mildred Kish Age 78, of Wiscasset, Me., died at her home after a brief illness. She was born in North Wayne, Me, the daughter of Parker and Marion Lowell Chaney. She attended school at Bath, Me., and graduated from Morse High school in 1935. She married John Kish in 1936 and they made their home in California until 1961 when they moved to Puget Island. She was a member of the Elochoman Grange, the Last Tuesday club, the Cathlamet Congregational church and the Skyline Golf club. After the death of her husband in 1981 she returned to Wiscasset where she was active in the Lincoln club, Wiscasset Senior Citizens, the Will Ryder Bowling league and the First Congregational Church of Wiscasset. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Carlin (Katherine) Diehm of Hoquiam; three brothers, Philip Chaney of Edgecomb, Me., Kenneth Chaney of Alan, Me., and her twin Merle Chaney of Bath; one sister, Phylis Winslow of Alford, Me.; three grandchildren; two great-grand children and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held July 19 in Wiscasset. Arrangements were by Mayo and Daigle Funeral Home of Wiscasset.
