Wahkiakum Eagle-August 1999 KIMBALL, Harry Bradford Age 93, a Grays River resident, died in Longview. He was the oldest of nine children of William and Della (Williams) Kimball, and was born in Akeley, Hubbard County, Minn. He attended local schools until the fourth grade at which time he went to work in the family sawmill and continued to work in lumber and logging businesses until retirement. In 1926 he and Laura Harris were married in Minnesota. They continued to live there and became parents to four children, moving to Rosburg in 1961. Laura died in 1965. In 1966 he married Mary Summers and the family grew to include two step-children. He was employed in the woods for logging companies as a sawyer at several different sawmills. At one time, he constructed a complete circular sawmill from a thrashing machine. The last 10 years before retirement he was employed by Crown Zellerbach at the Deep River log dump. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, he later joined the Church of God in Rosburg. He was a member of the Grays River Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. A mathematical whiz and very mechanically inclined he enjoyed fixing a large variety of things for family and friends. A son, Claude Kimball died in 1987. Survivors include his wife, Mary, of Rosburg; daughters, Joyce Magnuson of Naselle, and Darlene Kapron of Grays River; son, Ronnie Kimball of Aberdeen; stepdaughter, Bonnie Brady of Pacifica, Calif.; stepson, Jearld Uker of Twin Falls, Idaho; brother, Clifford Kimball of Park Rapids, Minn.; sisters, Iva Rex of McMinnville, Ore., and Leone Magnuson of Grays River; 23 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service was Wednesday at the cemetery. Penttila's Chapel by the Sea, Long Beach was in charge.
