Wahkiakum Eagle-July 1999 KEHRLI, Casper Arnold Age 77, died at his Puget Island home. He was born at Beaverton, Ore., the son of Casper and Margarith Oman Kehrli. He came to live on Puget island at the age of 14 and resided there the rest of his life. He married Tillie More on February 13, 1948. He farmed on the Island for many years and also was a proprietor of the Puget Island market from 1968 to 1984. He also drove milk truck during that time. He enjoyed his family, sports, and watching his grandchildren play. He was a member of the Puget Island Grange and the Puget Island Fire Department, retiring after 37 years of service. Survivors include his wife at home; two sons, Scott and Keith, both of Puget Island; a daughter, Diane Tischer, of Puget Island; two brothers, Albert of Puget Island and Herbert of Cathlamet; three sisters, Clara Ruhlin of Newberg, Ore., Emma Gregory of Roseburg, Ore., and Hulda LeGro of Mt. Vernon.; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Thursday at the cemetery with Pastor Cliff Weimer officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
