The Wahkiakum County Eagle-August 23, 2007 Cathlamet, Washington Mary I. Kandoll Mary Irene Kandoll of Rosburg died August 17, 2007 in Astoria. She was 75. She was born March 17, 1932 in Battleground to Albert H. and Helena V. (Lehto) Matson. She attended school in Battleground before moving to Rosburg in her early twenties. She lived there for the last 54 years of her life. She married Theodore Kandoll on February 1, 1953 in Hokinson. He survives her. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Seal River Apostolic Lutheran Church. As well as her husband, she is survived by five sons, Dan Kandoll, Sam Kandoll, Roy Kandoll, Tim Kandoll and Ben Kandoll; 11 daughters, Anna Hermary, Martha Wagner, Rhoda Kandoll, Eva Niemela, Ruth Waineo, Beth Johnson, Leah West, Louise Johnson, Kristina Perez, Joy Fraki, and Karen Kern; four brothers, Lew Matson, Lee Matson, Jim Matson and Chuck Matson; two sisters Marj Staudinger and Rhoda Olin; 75 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Viewing will take place Friday from 3-7 p.m. at the Seal River Apostolic Lutheran Church. A funeral will be held Saturday at the Valley Bible Church in Rosburg at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Dowling Funeral Home.
