The Wahkiakum County Eagle-January 29, 2009 Rose H. Jones Rose H. Jones, 98, passed away Wednesday evening, January 7, 2009 at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn, Ind. Rose was a member of the Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) in Cathlamet and attended New Hope Christian Center for the last 10 years, since moving to Indiana. Rose was a gifted person, given much to encouragement and hospitality. She loved the Lord and all people. She loved music and always played piano by ear and sang in public. She was a 50-year member of the Elochoman Grange in Cathlamet. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Joanne Stout of Bellingham; one devoted daughter and care-giver and son-in-law Sharon and Billy-Joe Servis of Waterloo, Ind.; five stepdaughters, 28 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Marion and Hattiet (Flynn) Porter and her husbands Ora Wood, Ralph Stout, Walt Tibbs, and Ivan Jones. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Wood; a daughter, Elaine Brister; a stepson, Victor Stout; two brothers, Clint Porter and Ted Porter; and three sisters, Pearl Allen, Grace Yule and Mabel Haga. A celebration of her life may be held in the future. Memorials are encouraged for DeKalb Memorial Home Health and Hospice, the Betz Nursing Home activity fund or D.A.R.T., the Heimach Center van service. Feller and Clark Funeral Home of Waterloo, Ind. is in charge of arrangements.
