Wahkiakum County Eagle-July 1996 Mary V. Johnson Age 81, died at her home on Puget Island. She was born in Chicago, to Joseph and Elizabeth McHugh, and lived in Kelso from 1962 to 1976, when she and her husband came to the Cathlamet area. She was a bookkeeper for K. T. Henderson Construction Co., Renaud Electric and Ferguson Construction. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and spending time with her family. She leaves her husband, Ivan, at home; a daughter, Michelle Carner of Puget Island; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Christy, in 1995, and two sisters. Memorial services will be Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge. Mary V.
