Thursday, October 18, 2001 The Daily News, Longview, WA MARY L. JACOBSON – Longtime Rainer resident Mary Louise Jacobson, 74, died October 15, 2001, at St. John Medical Center. She was born July 8, 1927, in Astoria to Daniel Charles and Martha Catherine (Ahola) Kauttu. She was a 1945 graduate of Wahkiakum High School in Cathlamet, WA. Mrs. Jacobson was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Rainer Community Church of God since 1942 and loved to teach Sunday school. She was a member of the Wisteria Chapter of Order of Eastern Star of Rainer and was a 4-H leader. She married Frank L. Jacobson on April 27, 1946, in Seaview, Oregon. He survives her at home. Also surviving are two daughters, Leslie Lepin of Ranier and Debbie Jump of Longview; a son Dan Jacobson of Rainer; a brother, Paul Kauttu of Spanaway, Wash.; her mother in Naselle; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rainer Community Church of God with the Rev. Steve Dow officiating. Private internment will take place.
