Longview Daily News-July 20,1959 Obituary of Eulalie Jacobsen Mrs. Eulalie, 67, of Puget Island, died July 20 in a Seattle hospital. Born Nov.16, 1889 in Kodvog, Norway, she came to South Bend from Norway in 1911 and moved to Puget Island in 1925. She and her husband cleared the land, and operated a diary farm on Puget Island. She attended church and Women's Missionary Federation. Surviving are the widower, Otelius, of Puget Island; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Prestegard of Puget Island, Mrs. Margaret Taylor of Seattle, and Mrs. Edith Sauer of Longview; four sons, Erling of Seattle, Leif of Portland, Carl of Longview, and Frank of Puget Island; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Puget Island, with the Rev. Robert Warren officiating. Internment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
