The Daily News-October 1963 IRVING, Walter Alan Age 51, of Cathlamet, died in a Longview hospital. He was born in Cathlamet. Mr. Irving was a construction foreman for the Crown Zellerbach Corp. in Wahkiakum County. He had been employed 29 years by the firm. He was a past master of Pentalpha Lodge of the Masonic Order, past patron of Wahcoma Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and a member of Longview Elks Lodge 1514. Survivors, all in Cathlamet, include his wife, Marie Y., at home; daughter, JoAnn Fancher; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Irving; three sisters, Margaret Hollar, Eugenia Bussone and Ione Orth; a brother, Melvin Irving; two grandsons, Raymond and Keith Fancher; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral was in the Cathlamet Congregational Church Saturday, with Rev. David Nelson officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
