Wahkiakum Eagle-October 1982 IRVING, Maude Willena Age 93, a lifelong area resident, died in a Cathlamet nursing home. She was born at Astoria, Ore., and received her early schooling at Sunny Grove School in the Elochoman Valley. On 30 December 1908, she married Robert Irving. For many years they owned and operated a dairy farm in the Elochoman Valley before moving to the Rosedale section of Cathlamet. He preceded her in death on 23 Jun 1968. She was a member of Elochoman Grange No. 426. Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Hollar and Ione Orth, both of Cathlamet, and Jean Bussone of Yuma, Ariz.; a son, Melvin Irving, also of Cathlamet; two brothers, Bruce Jones of Beaverton and George A. Jones of Portland; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grand-children, seven great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Walter, in 1963 and a brother, Frank Jones, in 1962. Graveside services were Friday at the cemetery in Cathlamet, with Rev. Robert J. Ohrstedt officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
