The Daily News- Longview, Wa.-June 1981 Maximn Oliver 'Max' Holland Lifelong Puget Island, died in a Longview hospital. He was born on Puget Island. A commercial fisherman, he was a member of the United Fishermen's Association, Northwest Gillnetters Association, Kelso Elks, Sons of Norway, Columbia River Fishermen's Protective Union and was a past board member of the Alaska Independent Fishermen Marketing Association. Surviving are his wife, Ruby, of Puget Island; a daughter, Juli Tarabochia of Puget Island; two sons, Martin of Portland and Bruce of Cathlamet; three sisters, June Seiegle and Phyllis Anderson of Stanwood and Katie Harris of Longview; two brothers, Raymond and Gordon of Longview; his stepmother, Borghild Holland of Longview; and 10 grandchildren. Services were Thursday in the Norse Hall on Puget Island with Elmer Strand and Mitchell Doumit officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
