The Daily News-October 1965 HELDT, John M. Age 72, of Rosburg, died in Ilwaco. He was born in Rosburg, and had lived there all his life. He was a past member of Pomona Grange, past master of Grays River Grange, was a 58-year member of the Grange and was also active in 4-H work. Survivors include the widow, Violet of Rosburg; two step-daughters, Mrs. Lillian Durrah, of Carson, and Mrs. Vivian Schaefer of Portland; two brothers, August and William of Rosburg; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and foster children, Louis, Robert, Eugene, and Roger Jackson, Miss Mary Jackson, Mrs. Betty Blanchard, Mrs. Bessie Axmaker, Mrs. Shirley Wheeler and Mrs. Patricia Hopkins. Services will be Thursday at the Grays River Methodist Church with Elder George Thayer officiating. Grange graveside services will be held. Penttila's Chapel by the Sea is in charge.
