HENRY A. HANSEN
Lifelong Cathlamet resident Henry A Hansen, 98,died at home Dec 16,1981.
He was the husband of Julia Butler Hansen, former Washington state legislator
and congresswoman.
          Hansen, of 60 Main St., was born OCT 28,1883 in Cathlamet. Before
his retirement, he had been a logger since the age 0f 13. He worked for
Bradley Logging Co, and Benson timber co and many of the pioneer logging
companies. He was a charter member of the Riverview Rebekah Lodge and a
longtime member of the International Woodworkers of America. In addition to
his wife, survivors include a son, David Hansen of Vancouver: a sister
Dorothy Johnson of Portland: and two granddaughters, Elizabeth Ann Hansen
and Julia Ann HANSEN, both of Vancouver.
Services were Friday at Dowling Funeral home, Cathlamet. Interment was in
the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery. Dowling Funeral home, Cathlamet, was in

charge of arrangements.
