Wahkiakum County Eagle-December 1996 Scott Eugene Hall Age 38, died at his residence in Forest Grove, Ore. He was born in Longview, the son of Merle and Betty "Bobbitt" (Wright) Hall. He lived a short time in Vancouver, and at the age of 10 moved with his family to Naselle, where he graduated from high school in 1976. He served with the US Air Force for four years and received training in telephone installation and repair. Following his military service he worked for Western Wahkiakum Telephone for nine years. In 1989 he began employment with G.T.E. in Crescent City, Calif. and in 1993 was transferred to Cornelius, Ore. Time spent outdoors was special to him and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, football and his golden Lab "Toby". He also collected antique bottles he found during hikes in the woods. He was married to Nancy Murray on July 25, 1987 in Naselle, and she survives in Forest Grove. Other survivors include a daughter, Hylah at home; son James of Corvallis, Ore.; father, Merle Hall of Naselle; brothers, Wayne of Longview and Chuck Hendrickson of Naselle; sisters, Merikay Hall of Los Angeles, Shari Wood of Cosmopolis, and Kelly Wallis of Quincy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty "Bobbitt" Hall in Jan. 1993. Graveside services were Saturday with Pastor John Indermark officiating.
