Wahkiakum Eagle-February 2001 GORMAN, Howard Thomas 'Pat' Died at his home in Cathlamet. He was born at Cathlamet, the son of Thomas and Katie Hughes Gorman and was a lifelong resident of this area. He graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1939. He married the late Bonnie V. Sturtevant October 23, 1941. He logged for several years, served two years in the Navy during WWII, worked as a truck driver for the Lagendorf company with a Cathlamet to Long Beach route for 23 years and as a DHIA milk tester. He was a charter member of the PI Boat club, the Skamokawa Gun Club and the Skyline Golf Course Men's club. He enjoyed playing golf, played baseball on the town team and was an avid hunter, fisherman and bowler. Survivors include two daughters, Georgiann Gorman of Deming and Nancy Gorman of Cathlamet; a brother, Bob of Portland and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Monday at the cemetery. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
