The Wahkiakum County Eagle - December 3, 2009 Pauline J. Gisselberg Pauline (Jan) Jeanette Gisselberg, 79, of Shelton, died November 7, 2009 at St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia. She was born November 4, 1930 in Portland to Norman and Lisa Stanley. She grew up on Puget Island and graduated from Wahkiakum High School and later took courses to become a ward secretary. She married Lee Gisselberg on Puget Island on April 14, 1951. Throughout his career they lived in San Diego, and San Pedro, Calif. and Mobile, Ala. After settling in Shelton 32 years ago, she went to work for the Catholic Chore Services. She was Vice-President of the Wild Rhodies, and the Shelton Elks RV group and was a past president of the Ladies of the Elks. She is survived by her husband Lee; son Jeff, of Shelton; daughter Connie of Blossom, Texas; sisters Jacqueline Backman of Stayton, Ore. and Gerry Smith of Sequim; two grandsons and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at noon on December 13 at the Shelton Elks Lodge, 741 Craig Road, 360-426-2322. Memorial donations may be made to the Shelton Elks or a favorite charity.
