Wahkiakum Eagle-March 1999 FOUTS, Thomas G. Age 74, of Grays River, died in Newberg, Ore., from complications related to cancer. He was born in Leavenworth, Wa. He served in the army in WWII with the 101st Airborne Division and was an active member in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the 40 et 8. He was a long time resident of Goldendale and moved to Grays River in 1961. He was married to Jeanette Landon in 1962. He retired from the highway department in 1978 and he and his wife spent winters in Wellton, Ariz. She died in 1998. Survivors include a daughter, Joni of Newberg; a son, Brad of Lake Oswego, Ore; step-daughters, Jaqui Robbins of Central Point, Ore. and Teri See of Rosburg; step-son, Jeff Landon of Klawck, Alaska; three sisters, Rosetta Booth of Arlington, Ada Bailey of Fresno, Calif., and Betty Fowlkes of Omak; and five grandchildren. A memorial service was held at the Barr-Johnson-Hill American Legion Post in Deep River Saturday.
