Wahkiakum Eagle-January 1978 FOSTER, Bethenia M. Age 68, of Cathlamet, died in a Longview hospital. She was born in Portland. She spent her entire life in Cathlamet. She retired as Wahkiakum County Clerk on December 31, 1976, after serving the public for 22 years. She was a member of the Elochoman Grange, Pomona Grange, Little Theatre, Wahkiakum County Fair Board and numerous other organizations. She was most active in all public organizations and activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1967. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Ozzie Wika at home; two grandsons, Gregory and his wife, Sonja of Longview, Jeffory of Longview; two granddaughters, Lori of Longview and Mary at home; one foster-son, Larry Goodell of Knappa, Ore.; her mother Della Quigley of Cathlamet; four brothers, Leonard Quigley, Jr., Lawrence Quigley and Kenneth Quigley, all of Cathlamet, Frank Quigley of Skamokawa; six sisters, Leona Heywood and LaRene Wegdahl of Portland, Beryl Benton of Camas, Marie Varin of Longview, Patricia Good of Castle Rock and Delores Cochran of Cathlamet; one aunt, Eleanor Bither of Beaverton, Ore.; and numerous nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the First Lutheran church on North Welcome Slough on Puget Island with Rev. Allen Mydske and Mitchell Doumit officiating. Bethenia M.
