The Eagle-14 June 1945 Mrs. Lu Fitcha Dies After Long Illness Mrs. Caroline Fitcha, 64, wife of the late Lu Fitcha of Cathlamet, died in a Longview hospital yesterday, following a long illness. She was born in Norway, August 4, 1880. She is survived by a sister, whose whereabouts could not be learned, and one brother, Ivan Hannesdale of Vashon Island. Funeral arrangements, in charge of Hatton Funeral Home, are pending word from the brother. Burial will probably be here where Mrs. Fitcha was well known. She and her husband operated the hardward store now owned by Robt. Hughes. Lu Fitcha was mayor of Cathlamet for many years and was an active member of Quillis Tribe No. 60, Red Man lodge.
