Wahkiakum County Eagle-October 1994 Pearl M. Elliott Pearl Maggie Elliott, 87, of Elochoman Valley, died October 20, at the Hospice Care Center. She was born December 31, 1906, in Fullerton, Neb., to Ervy and Amelia (Brossard) Reid, and came to the Cathlamet area in 1971 from Chehalis. A homemaker, Mrs. Elliott enjoyed sewing, handcrafts and gardening. She also baby-sat in her home for many years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ (Congregational) in Cathlamet and the Chehalis Methodist Church. She was also a 50-year member of the Grange. Her first husband, Charles, died in 1960, and her second husband, Leland, died in 1970. A son, James VanBuskirk, died in 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Gladys Grouse, in Cathlamet; two stepdaughters, Edna Philbrick of Tacoma and Claire Anderson of Mossyrock, Utah; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday at the United Church of Christ (Congregational) in Cathlamet with the Rev. Joan Ham officiating. Private interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Claquato, Wash.
