Newport News Times-September 23, 2005 Newport, Oregon FRANK MARSH EGGMAN, Jr. Frank Marsh Egman, Jr., 72, of Newport, died at home of Cancer Sept. 18, 2005. He was born Sept. 15, 1933 on a houseboat in Skamokawa, Wash. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and was a staff sergeant in the tank division during the Korean Conflict. He came home from ware in 1953, and married Donna Warren in 1954. He moved his family to Newport in 1957. He worked as a brick mason, sheet rocker, logger, and manager of Newport Supply Company. He also worked as a fisherman, and skippered F/V "The Oregonian," which his father also fished decades earlier. In his retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, winemaking, gardening, bird watching and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Barbara and Frank Eggman, Sr.; a son, Brian Eggman; and sister, Joanna McNally. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Donna Eggman of Newport; daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Pual Gesch of Siletz; daughter and son-in-law Stacy and Joe Fischer of Newport; sister and brother-in-law Kristy and Joe Steinauer of Castle Rock, Wash.; grandchildren, Katriina Gesch of Lauderhill, Fla., Jonathan Gesch of Gresham, Dan Eggman of Newport, Jared Eggman of Orient, Wash.; and one great-grandchild on the way.
