Unknown Newspaper-June 1978 DAVIS, Hilma Age 86, a lifetime resident of the Salmon Creek area, died while a resident at Ocean View Convalescent Center. She was born in Rosburg, Wash. She was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church of Seal River and received her public education in Rosburg. She married William Davis of Rosburg in Astoria in 1914. The couple later made their home in the Salmon Creek area. Mr. Davis died in February 18 of 1957. Survivors include one son, Willard of Seattle; two sisters, Kathryn Belan of Renton and Lydia Smith of Pasco; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Thursday, June 22, at the Seal River Apostolic Lutheran Church. Pall bearers were Matt Huttula, Carl Mikkla, Russell Ellsworth, John Stenholm, Eugene Kilponen and Robert Wainamo. Penttila's Chapel by the Sea, Long Beach, was in charge. Hilma M.
