Published in The Daily News on 2/13/2007. Loren E. Davenport 1912 - 2007 Loren E. Davenport, 94, of Cathlamet died Feb. 6, 2007. He was born March 30, 1912, in Wakita, Okla., to Owen L. and Elvira (Gilpen) Davenport and graduated from high school in Oklahoma. Mr. Davenport was a logger for Gresdale and Simpson Logging in Shelton, Wash. He moved to Cathlamet seven years ago, after living in Goldendale, Wash., and Olympia. His wife, Muriel (Large) Davenport, died in 1976. Mr. Davenport is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Dorothy Davenport; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at River of Life Assembly of God in Cathlamet. Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbia View Care Center Activity Fund, P.O.
