The Eagle-September 14, 1944 Albert Danielsen Drowns in Boat Albert Gregor Danielsen, 71, for 27 years a resident of Puget Island, was drowned this morning when he fell from a bridge across a slough and landed on his head in a skiff containing several inches of water. A cut across the forehead indicated he was knocked unconscious. The direct cause of death, however, was drowning, according to Dr. Fritz who was summoned immediately after the body was discovered about 7 o’clock. He is survived by the widow, one brother, Hartwig Danielsen of Puget Island; four sons, Ben of Spokane, Dan and Elmer of Puget Island, and Palmer, who is in the service3 and stationed in Alaska; three daughters, First Lieut. Inga and Sgt. Harriet, who had just returned to Puget Island on furloughs, and Mrs. Oscar Bergseng of Puget Island. The body is at Hatton Funeral Parlors, Cathlamet. Funeral arrangements have not been made, pending arrival of relatives.
