Published in The Daily News on 9/29/2006. Helen Inez Crenshaw 1914 - 2006 Helen Inez Crenshaw, 91, of Naselle died Sept. 25, 2006. She was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Okemah, Okla., to Frank and Myrtle (Niemeyer) Andrews. The family moved to Texas when she was 10 years old. She graduated from high school in Colorado City, Texas, in 1934. She was a cook and housekeeper prior to marrying Eldryd "Slim" Crenshaw in Coahoma, Texas, on July 3, 1937. The moved to Ocean Park in 1942 before settling in Naselle. Mrs. Crenshaw was an Avon representative for more than 23 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years in March. Survivors include three daughters, Norma Burkhalter, Joann Tinnon and Elaine Price; three sisters, Lorene Jackson, Ruth Walker and Mary Robertson; two brothers, Fred Andrews and Merritt Andrews; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Naselle Community Congregational Church. A graveside service will follow at Peaceful Hill Cemetery. A reception will be held after the services at the church. The viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
