The Daily News-Oct 1990 COOK, Levina Anne Age 72, lifelong Skamokawa resident, died at home. She was born in Skamokawa. Her memberships and activities included the Skamokawa United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid, Mentor Guild, Christian Guild, an original Hospice board member, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Skamokawa Grange, Friends of Skamokawa, senior citizens groups in Cathlamet and Rosburg, the Wahkiakum County Fair, and the Wahkiakum Planning Commission. She is survived by her husband, Joe Cook, at home; two sons, David Cook of Sacramento, Calif., and Mike Bain of Poulsbo, Wash.; a daughter, Joanne Brockway of Skamokawa; her mother, Eva Gill of Skamokawa; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Friday at Skamokawa United Methodist Church with Rev. Joan Ham officiating. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge.
