These Wahkiakum County Cemeteries were visited during May of 1997 in preparation for Memorial Day. Each Person's Name, Date of Birth, Date of Death and other information was copied from his/her stone. There are unmarked graves, some that are just marked by the funeral home, but every attempt was made to be as accurate as possible given the conditions of markers.
The Deep River cemetery was established in 1885 through land donated by Henry Denson. Location: T10N R8W Section 8
This remote cemetery was established in 1885. Driving Directions: From Highway 4 turn left onto the Altoona/Pillar Point Road, drive about 3.5 miles & turn left onto the Eden Valley Road. Cemetery is about 2.5 Miles and is on the Left side of the road and is easily visible.
Access - 1.5 miles west of Skamokawa on Hwy 4 to Engalls Road. Follow Engalls Road to the Fern Hill Cemetery sign, turn right go to end of the road.
Watch for Road sign for Grays River Cemetery on the West side of town - cemetery is at the end of the road with parking available. The Grange Sexton is responsible for the property.
The largest Wahkikum Cemeter is located in Cathlamet Washington. Access is via Greenwood Road off Highway 4.
Located in Cathlamet Washington. It was established in 1846 as the final resting place for Wahkiakum County Pioneers. Access is via the Grade School Parking Lot.

Located on the south side of Highway 4 in Rosburg.
About a mile west of Rosburg - just beyond a yellow house there is a small road sign for the Seal River Cemetery. The road ends at the cemetery. Some of the older graves are not accessible because of bramble overgrowth, but most of the site is well maintained.
